Antique Late Edwardian period circa 1910 Lovely Quality Cameo Brooch in Hand Carved Conch Shell, likely a Naples Bay piece the Cameo depicts the bust image of the Greek Goddess of Night 'Nyx' mounted in an English manufactured 9k gold frame of an ornate design detailed with a pierced fret worked gallery spacing four point set foliate wreaths of a layered design, the reverse to the brooch is mounted with a hinged pin and clasp fitting in full working order with the crown to the setting of the brooch being finished with a mounted bale so as to serve for when threading with a chain or ribbon for wearing about the neck as a pendant.

The Brooch measures 4.5 cm by 3.3 cm or 1.77 inches by 1.29 inches and is marked to the pin clasp with the 9ct gold mark.

A Handsome piece of period jewellery, in good condition and ready to be worn.
