Gorgeous and large vintage gold tone and paste rhinestone flower design brooch. The three large flower heads are circular cabochons of sorts, claw set in the gold tone with ornate claws/prongs. Each circle is made up of clear rhinestones encrusting the surface.The leaf is also decorated with a graduated row of clear stones. I have not had the metal or stones tested, but am assuming this is not precious metal or gemstones.

The brooch fastens with a pin and simple old fashioned hook clasp. The length of the piece is 2.5 inches and the width 2 inches at its widest. I have struggled to date it as the setting and clasp hook look antique, but I haven't seen anything like it before. It may be earlier than the Art Deco period. Let me know if you have seen anything similar. It is in very good vintage condition, please examine the photos carefully.
